Barnegat is a town full of potential. Situated on the Bay, with beautiful parks and trails, and easy access to the rest of the state, it should be an easy choice for anyone looking for a place to call home.
Instead, we have high taxes, houses empty and unable to sell, and a government that seems to have run out of ideas.
Barnegat deserves better.
Dan is an adjunct professor of chemistry at Ocean County College where he also tutors students from disadvantaged backgrounds with the Educational Opportunity Fund. Between coursework, he also operates a small-business providing web development and marketing consulting services.
He is an avid reader and performs as a clarinetist with the Ocean County College Community Band. When spring arrives, he can often be found hiking or biking on the local trails and supports his local chapters of the Sierra Club and Clean Water Action in their mission to protect our Pinelands and Barnegat Bay.
Dan has lived in Barnegat for the last 13 years and attended high school at Southern Regional. He attributes the good start to life he got here as the foundation of much of his success and is eager to give back by working to build a better Barnegat.

Paul is the Executive Director of a not-for-profit technical organization serving the Chemical Process Industry. The organization is focused on improving the safety, reliability and sustainability of chemical process equipment. Now retired from private industry, Paul held various management positions over his 43-year career. In Paul’s management roles, he was responsible for Engineering, Technical Services and Corporate Safety. His most prominent role was as the Director of Quality Assurance for a specialty steel supplier with multiple domestic and international operations.
His responsibilities in private industry also afforded him the opportunity to work with several large technical societies, including the Materials Technology Institute and ASTM International, where he served both organizations as a Director and as Chairman of the Board.
Paul enjoys biking, golfing and the beach. Together with his wife, Cynthia (Cyndi), they have three daughters and three granddaughters. Cyndi is a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor and provides services in Ocean and Monmouth counties. Cyndi and Paul returned to New Jersey from Michigan in 2012 and decided to make their residence in Barnegat to take advantage of the attractions at the Jersey Shore. After a successful career in the metals industry and the chance to serve the greater good through organizations such as ASTM International, Paul is well positioned to use his experience to give back to the Barnegat community.
